Week 1
June 3 (M) Read page xii from the preface as well as sections 1.1-1.3. Do #1, 4, 7, 9, 12, 13, 14 from section 1.1. Do #2, 5, 7, 10, 13, 14 from section 1.2. Do #1, 3, 4, 7, 8, 9, 16, 20, 21, 22 from 1.3. For practice only, do the quiz #1 handout. Learn how to make a table of values on your calculator. For the TI-82 and TI-83 calculators, you enter a function using the [ Y= ] button, set-up a table with the [ 2nd ] - [ TBLSET ] button, and then display your table of values with the [ 2nd ] - [ TABLE ] button. The TI-85 cannot generate tables, so you will have to make your tables by hand. The TI-86 can do tables, but you'll have to look in your manual to see how to do this.
June 4 (Tu) Read sections 1.4 (pages 24-27), 1.6, and 1.7. Do #1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 8, 10, 16, 17 from section 1.4. Do #1, 2, 5, 7, 13, 15, 16, 18, 20, 25 from section 1.6. For practice only, do the quiz #2 handout.
June 5 (W) Read sections 1.8 and 1.9. Do #2-10 from section 1.7. Do #33, 34, 38, 40, and 3-17 from section 1.8. Do #1, 6, 8, 10, 11, 12, 14, 15, 17 from section 1.9.

Week 2
June 10 (M) Test 1  
June 11 (Tu) Read sections 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, and 2.4. Do #1, 3, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 from 2.1. Do #1, 2, 3, 6, 9, 11, 16 from 2.2. Do #1, 13, 15, 17, 26, 27, 28, 32 from 2.3.
June 12 (W) Read sections 4.1 and 4.2. We will postpone 2.5-2.6 until next week. Do #1, 2, 8, 10, 11, 12, 15 from 2.4. Do #1-21, 22, 27, 36, 37, 43 from 4.1. Do #1-21, 27, 30, 37 from 4.2.

Week 3
June 17 (M) Test 2  
June 18 (Tu) Read 4.3-4.4 and 2.5-2.6. Do #1-30, 35, 37 from 4.3. Do #3-26, 29 from 4.4. Do #1-5, 8, 15, 16 from 2.5.  
June 19 (W) Here is all the homework and sections for Monday's test. In 2.5, do #1-5, 8, 15, 16. In 2.6, do #1-3, 6, 9-13 (also #16, 17, 21ab from 5.3). In 4.1, do #34 and know basic derivative rules. In 4.2, know basic derivative rules. In 4.3, do #1-30, 34, 35, 37. In 4.4, do #3-26, 29. In 3.1, do #3-9.  
June 20 (Th) No new homework. Monday's test will cover 2.5-2.6, 4.1-4.4, 3.1, as well as problems from 5.3. See main course page for a more detailed list of topics.
Week 4
June 24 (M) Test 3 Read 3.2 and do #1-8, 12-18, 20.
June 25 (Tu) Finish the 3.2 problems. Read 3.4, 3.5, 6.5. Do #4, 5, 7, 10 from 3.4. Do #1, 2, 3, 6 from 3.5. Do #1-22, 26, 33, 34-46 from 6.5.  
June 26 (W) Read 6.6 and 3.3. Do #1-12 from 6.6. Do #1, 2, 3, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12, 15, 16, 17, 18, 23 from 3.3.  
June 20 (Th) No new homework. Monday's test will cover 3.1-3.5 and 6.5-6.5. See main course page for a more detailed list of topics.
Week 5 (Last Day of Classes - Tuesday)
July 1 (M) Test 4 Course grades are computed! I will be in my office until 6:30 PM if you wish to pick up your test.
July 2 (Tu) Optional cumulative test to replace lowest test score This will cover all material covered this semester - including the material on the 4th test.
