The 4th Midwest Women in Mathematics Symposium will be held April 2, 2016 at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Motivated by the successful WIMS in Southern California, the University of Illinois at Chicago launched the first Midwest WIMS in 2013. Previous symposia at the University of Notre Dame and Dominican University were well received.

The 4th Midwest WIMS intends to recognize and advocate collective achievements by female mathematicians in the Midwest, and to stimulate collaborations, networking, and mentoring relations.

We hope to bring together female mathematicians in the Midwest at all stages of careers. The symposium is open to everyone, regardless of affiliation, age, and gender. Lunch will be provided to all registered participants with time to explore issues surrounding women in mathematics.
