Midwest Number Theory Conference for Graduate Students - October 13-14

The Midwest Number Theory Conference for Graduate Students and Recent PhDs gives graduate students and recent PhDs an opportunity to meet and give talks in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. This is the ninth year for the conference. Talks by graduate students and recent PhDs in all areas of number theory are welcome. We encourage graduate students at all levels to attend. Registration and Financial Support

Registration is required to attend the conference: please complete the registration form. We expect to receive funding from theNSF and the Number Theory Foundation. However, only limited funding will be available for participating graduate students and postdocs. We ask that participants carpool to the meeting, if possible, to help us extend our travel budget as far as possible towards fully reimbursing everyone's expenses. If you would like to receive funding please indicate that on the registration form. The deadline for applying for support is September 7, 2012.

A block of hotel rooms have been reserved at the Illini Union (speakers, family travel) and Hawthorne Suites (students). We will be happy to help participants find lodging, and we will arrange lodging for all graduate students and postdoc funded by us (at two students per room). For room reservation information, please email The deadline for hotel reservations to be made by us is September 7, 2012.

The deadline for requesting a slot for a talk and submitting an abstract is September 21, 2012 (go to registration form).
