Math Unix Systems Help Pages

The Math Unix Systems (MUSes) is a collection of Sun Microsystem and Linux machines which can be used for running symbolic computation programs (e.g., Mathematica, Magma, Maple, Pari, and many others), mathematical and technical type-setting programs (TEX and troff), and electronic mail. Open computer labs are located in the basement of Coble hall, and in rooms 110 and 130 Altgeld Hall, while other MUSes are scattered in offices throughout the department. Below is a link to Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) regarding the MUSes as well as contact information for the Computer Help Staff. If the Frequently Asked Questions do not cover your problem, please contact a consultant or mail the help staff at help@math.uiuc.edu.
