Majors and Minors in Mathematics:
Degree Requirements
The Mathematics Department in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences offers majors in Mathematics, Teaching of Mathematics, and Actuarial Science. A major in Mathematics and Computer Science is offered by the Department of Mathematics in conjunction with the Department of Computer Science.
For students with a "Fall 2009 catalog year" (i.e. students who first entered college in Fall 2009), degree requirements are:
- Math Major
- Math Minor
- Teacher Education Minor, Grades 6-9
- Teacher Education Minor in Mathematics, Grades 9-12
- Actuarial Science
- Math and Computer Science
For students with a "catalog year" prior to Fall 2009 (i.e. students who entered college prior to Fall 2009), degree requirements are:
- Math Major
- Math Minor
- Teaching Education Minor, Grades 6-9
- Teacher Education Minor in Mathematics, Grades 9-12
- Math and Computer Science
