Frequently asked questions by Incoming Freshmen

Advisers for Math Majors and Minors

Generally speaking a student transferring into Mathematics should have completed, or be able to complete, the calculus and at least one advanced mathematics course with a 2.5 average by the end of the sophomore year. Lower grades would indicate that the student would have difficulty in completing the advanced coursework successfully. The Teacher Education Option in Mathematics has specific requirements. Students wishing to complete a Mathematics Minor should obtain a form for declaring Intent to Complete a Minor from their college office, and have it signed by the undergraduate mathematics adviser.
