Math 580. Combinatorial Mathematics

    Bijective arguments, recurrence relations, generating functions, inclusion-exclusion principle, Burnside/Pólya counting.

  2. Graphs
    Trees & circuits, matchings, connectivity, coloring, planar graphs.

  3. Sets
    Pigeonhole principle, Ramsey's Theorem, partially ordered sets.

  4. Methods
    Probabilistic combinatorics (existence, expectation, threshold functions).

  5. Structures
    Latin squares, projective planes, block designs.
