I am an associate professor and the Tondeur Scholar in Mathematics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I am a member of the Differential Equations and Applied Mathematics group and a faculty affiliate of the Computational Science and Engineering program.
I received an Alfred P. Sloan Research Fellowship in 2012, an NSF CAREER Award in 2014, and a Beckman Fellowship from the Center for Advanced Study in 2014. I am a 2016 Simons Fellow in Mathematics.
I completed my Ph. D. at Brown University in 2006; my advisor was Walter Strauss. I was a C. L. E. Moore instructor of Mathematics at MIT in 2006-2009.
I am on sabbatical in 2016-2017 and visiting the Mathematics Department of Brown University and the ICERM for the semester program on Singularities and Waves in Incompressible Fluids.
I organized the 4th Midwest Women in Mathematics Symposium. I wrote an article for Math Times.
I spoke at the 2016 CAS Spring Symposium. Here are the
